Veteran and former PRIDE Heavyweight champion and UFC Interim Heavyweight champion Antonio "Minotauro" Nogueira will take on young and undefeated Cain Velasquez.Wanderlei Silva will face British striker Michael Bisping instead of the long expected bout between Yoshihiro Akiyama and Wanderlei Silva.
A bout between Keith Jardine and Rich Franklin was being discussed, instead Jardine will fight the Ultimate Fighter 8 Winner Ryan Bader. Chris Lytle was expected to face Dong Hyun Kim, but Kim has been forced off the card with an injury, so Brian Foster will step in to fight Lytle.
Since the bout will happen on Australia, there is and all-Aussie bout in the card. The bout between Elvis Sinosic and Chris Haseman will be the first ever all-Aussie bout to take place in the UFC.
