UFC 134: Silva vs. Okami is an upcoming mixed martial arts event to be held by the Ultimate Fighting Championship on August 27, 2011 at the HSBC Arena in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The event will be the second that the UFC has hosted in Brazil, since 1998's UFC 17.5: Ultimate Brazil.
UFC 134 will feature two preliminary fights live on Spike TV. Joe Rogan will not be doing commentary for this event because of a prior commitment, UFC Featherweight contender Kenny Florian will commentate instead.
UFC 134: Silva vs. Okami is a rematch between Silva and Okami. When Silva and Okami first met last January 20, 2006 for Rumble on the Rock 8 in Honolulu Hawaii, Silva was disqualified for delivering an illegal upkick that rendered Okami unable to continue. That warrants to 1 of Silva's 3 losses and after that, Anderson Silva went on a 14-win tear, 13 of which is won in the UFC Octagon.
UFC 134: Silva vs. Okami will also be a comeback fight for former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Maurico "Shogun" Rua, after losing his belt to Jon Jones, against also former UFC Light Heavyweight Champion Forrest Griffin.
This event will also be the ultimate test of fire for up-and-comer Brendan Schaub against former champion Antônio Rodrigo "Minotauro" Nogueira
