Will Manny Pacquiao vs Floyd Mayweather Jr Ever Happen?

Manny Pacquiao vs Floyd Mayweather Jr is a MEGA Fight waiting to happen. It is one of the biggest fight and this will get boxing aficionados, wannabe-boxing-aficionados and the "boxing civilian" hyped up. But one question still remain. Will Manny Pacquiao vs Floyd Mayweather Jr ever happen? If so, when and on what terms?

The first schedule of the MEGA fight between Manny Pacquiao and Floyd Mayweather was supposed to take place on the Dallas Cowboys Stadium last March 13, 2010. First, Mayweather demanded that the fight to take place in Las Vegas and not in the Dallas Cowboys. Then, they argued about the split of the purse which was then agreed at 50-50. And lastly, the biggest factor of the fight failing is the random blood testing.

At first, Pacquiao didn't want blood drawn from him as urine testing is enough for him but then obliged for the random blood testing by USADA but he will only comply if the testing will end 14 days before the fight so that he can regain conditioning. Floyd Mayweather did not want it to end 14 days before the fight but Pacquiao's camp will not budge on that term. With that, Mayweather opted not to continue with the fight and Top Rank Kingpin Bob Arum was fed up with all the demands the Mayweather camp was asking.

So they separated ways and opted to take on credible opponents. Manny Pacquiao went on with his March 13 date in the Dallas Cowboys Stadium with a one-sided 12-round beating of tough and unwilling to engage Ghanian Joshua Clottey which did a decent PPV buy at 700,000 considering that Clottey was not a big PPV player. Floyd Mayweather also had a fight on May 1, 2010 against Shane Mosley. Floyd Mayweather and Shane Mosley agreed to USADA random drug testing up until 14 days before the fight. Floyd Mayweather schooled Shane Mosley en-route to a 12 round Unanimous Decision. The fight got 1.4M buys and it was expected as both Mayweather and Mosley are big PPV players.

After the Mayweather-Mosley fight, it was found out that the USADA drug testing stopped at 18 days before the fight and this will contradict the reason why the Mayweather vs. Pacquiao fight did not go through. Manny Pacquiao wanted the testing to stop 14 days before the fight but Mayweather won't budge. Just recently, a report from BoxingScene states that Mayweather now wants a bigger part of the purse based on the PPV buys on their last bouts. Mayweather should look at the PPV buys of Manny Pacquiao vs. Miguel Cotto at 1.25M and not the Pacquiao vs. Clottey fight at 700,000 buys.

With that said? Who is ducking who? Is it Manny Pacquiao giving excuses so as not to get tested for juicing up or is it Mayweather trying his best to look willing to fight but giving out all the excuses and the terms in the world to have a valid reason to duck Manny Pacquiao?

Manny Pacquiao vs Floyd Mayweather on the squared circle would be a beauty to watch but for now, you decide. For now, the question still remains. Will Manny Pacquiao vs Floyd Mayweather Jr ever happen? If so, when and on what terms?
